Some prefer to paint the interior walls before the trim is installed. Then the painters return and paint the trim or finish the natural or stained trim. Soft wood trim has a fine grain and may be stained or painte painting is preferred. Hardwood trim is more expensive, looks more formal, is more difficult to work.

Oct I have a customer who wants her interior trim and doors painted in her house. Some old pine (dark stain probably varnish) and some newer oak.
Need opinions on how to best tackle painting the stained trim and doors in this office. Trim is about years old and looks like it was originally.
